“Hello Future”
This was the sign welcoming me to Germany in the Spring of 2016. At that time I could not have imagined the opportunities I would have to work on current and future products, drive some amazing cars and learn so much about the automotive industry.

I was on the team that created the industry’s first Alexa Car Integration user experience, redefining voice interaction within connected vehicles

This project enabled users to use their smartphone instead of a bulky key fob, with the added benefit of sharing your key to other users from within the app. This was the first smartphone-based digital key experience of for automobiles, establishing a highly popular feature now widely adopted by manufacturers globally. This further enhanced BMW’s industry impact and brand loyalty.

As a new BMW employee, I was eager to know the status of my vehicle, and soon learned this was a surprisingly difficult task. So I created a way to track the progress and added it to the app for other customers to enjoy.

Everything is connected. The vehicles are communicating to each other to alert fellow drivers of traffic and weather conditions, the user is connected to their home and personal devices, and vehicle. Syncing together to allow users to plan and be informed throughout their journey.
